5) Is SpeedUp BOX available for usage anywhere in the world?

You can utilize SpeedUp BOX TCP Acceleration & Optimization solutions to accelerate and optimize intranet and internet TCP traffic from anywhere in the world.

6) Will using SpeedUp BOX result in additional fees from the Internet service provider or GSM operator?

No, you will not be additionally charged by Internet Service Providers or GSM operators.

7) What will be the magnitude of the change in my Download speed when using SpeedUp BOX?

Different download speeds result in different positive improvement rates.

8) What will be the magnitude of the change in my Upload speed when using SpeedUp BOX?

Depending on the congestion and bottleneck conditions in the internet network, there can be more than a threefold increase in Upload speed.

9) Does SpeedUp BOX compromise data integrity in TCP Traffic?

SpeedUp BOX TCP Acceleration & Optimization solutions do not concern themselves with the content of TCP packets and do not alter data integrity.

Management Panel

1) How can I access the management panel?

SpeedUp BOX TCP Acceleration & Optimization solutions are managed through the Management MGMT (LAN0) port connection. The computer’s Ethernet port is connected to the SpeedUp BOX MGMT port. Using a web browser and a “https” connection—the factory default IP address for the MGMT port is 192.168.11.1—users can access the management interface. See the User Manual for SpeedUp BOX.

For example, by assigning the address 192.168.11.10 to the computer that will connect to the SpeedUp BOX MGMT Port, you can directly access the management panel via the Management Port. The management panel works on all browsers.

2) What is the username and password for the management panel?

Default username: admin / password: admin

3) How can I change the default username and password?

You can change the default username and password by navigating through the new user and password creation page that appears when you access the Account Settings tab.

4) Is it possible to create users with various permissions?

More than one user with operator authorization can be added.

5) How can I find out the serial number and version of the SpeedUpBOX?

The label under your SpeedUpBOX device has the version information and serial number. As an alternative, you can scroll down to the SpeedUp (Pilot, Captain, Maestro) Settings tab under the Setup in the management panel to view the device’s serial number and version information.

6) Is it possible to have access to the records of my actions?

The management panel’s Logs interface allows you to view historical activity logs categorized by date and user profile.

7) How can I proceed if I lose my administrator user password?

You can connect to Default Menu with a terminal emulator program (PuTTY, GNOME, etc.) via the Console port of the SpeedUp BOX using a serial cable or a serial-to-USB adapter. In the device manager, find your serial port number under ports. In the emulator you are using, type your port number in the serial line section. Select “Serial” option for Connection type and connect to Default Menu by applying 115.200 connection speed settings. On the login page, first the user name and then the password query screen will appear.

Username: tayf

Password: sbox- SpeedUpBOX serial number (the serial number is located on the label under your SpeedUpBOX device)

Password example: sbox- S1234S123

After entering your username and password, the following menu is displayed:

Installation

1) How do I set up the device's cable connection?

SpeedUp BOX TCP Acceleration & Optimization solutions are positioned between the Firewall/Router and servers in the Data Centre/Hosting/ISP data centre in the Enterprise segment.  In Individual segment, in xDSL and fiber modem subscribers, it is similarly positioned between the modem/firewall/router and the internal network.

Stated otherwise, the SpeedUp BOX device’s Ethernet LAN group ports function within a LAN IN and LAN OUT/WAN connection architecture. The Ethernet output of the computer/Switch in the internal network is connected to the LAN IN port, while the LAN OUT/WAN connection is directed to the Ethernet port/Gateway IP address of the Firewall/Router device, which serves as the internet gateway for computers in the internal network.

2) What are the operating modes of SpeedUpBOX?

SpeedUpBOX can be configured in two different operating modes: Auto Discovery and Managed. Configuration settings are made via the Setup interface.

3) How can TCP Optimization and Acceleration be enabled?

Navigate to the Setup menu first, and then access the SpeedUp (Pilot, Captain, Maestro) Settings. Both the acceleration and optimization features are enabled when the SpeedUp BOX Acceleration button is turned on. When set to Off, the Acceleration and Optimization function is disabled, and Intranet and Internet TCP traffic passes through the device without acceleration.

4) How to set Power Off Bypass?

Navigate to the Setup menu first, and then access the SpeedUp (Pilot, Captain, Maestro) Settings. By default, the Power Off Bypass button is set to “On”. If the “Off” button is selected, traffic does not pass through LAN1 and LAN2 ports on SpeedUp Pilot or LAN5 and LAN6 ports on SpeedUp Captain when power is cut to the device. Leaving it in the On position is advised.

5) How to set Power On Bypass?

Navigate to the Setup menu first, and then access the SpeedUp (Pilot, Captain, Maestro) Settings. By default, the Power On Bypass is set to “Off”.  When “On” is selected, traffic bypasses LAN1 and LAN2 ports on SpeedUp Pilot or LAN5 and LAN6 ports on SpeedUp Captain, but the Acceleration and Optimization feature is disabled.

6) How can I restore the device to default settings?

Navigate to the Setup menu first, and then select the Defaults button. In response to “Do you want to load default configuration?” choose Load. The notification “Default configuration has been loaded successfully!” will appear shortly after that. The device will return to its default settings after you use the “Ok” option to close the tab.
